In 2009 the Transition movement in Australia really took off when Sophy and Naresh offered training sessions here, including the 3-day residential training that I attended. I loved the focus on Inner Transition, inspired by Joanna Macy and The Work That Reconnects. After that training, most attendees started a transition group in their local government area. That is when I co-founded Transition Banyule. In 2017 I got together with others to set up Transition Towns Australia Inc as the national Hub for Australia. I continue to work through this Hub as Secretary and admin volunteer.
